1. Affidavit of service filed by the petitioner is taken on record.

2. By the present writ petition the petitioner seeks direction upon the respondent authorities for grant of intra district transfer to a school nearby his place of residence.

3. The petitioner contends that he joined as an Assistant Teacher in Parakanali Primary School of VillageParakanali, Post Office-Dobati, Police Station-Goaltore, District- Paschim Medinipur on 11th February, 2017. The petitioner has been confirmed in service with effect from 11th February, 2019. The petitioner's wife is suffering from Acute lymphocytic Leukemia (Blood Cancer). The petitioner's house is situated about 108 Kilometers away from his present place of posting. On

23rd December, 2025 the petitioner made a representation before the concerned authority seeking his transfer. However, the same is still pending consideration. Hence this writ petition.

4. Mr. Santanu Maji, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner seeks liberty to submit a comprehensive representation before the authority concerned for consideration of his transfer.

5. Mr. Ranjan Saha, learned advocate appearing for the District Primary School Council, Paschim Medinipur as well as Ms. Kum Kum Das, learned advocate appearing for the State concedes to the aforesaid submission.

6. In view of the above, liberty is granted to the petitioner to file a comprehensive representation before respondent no.6, Chairman, District Inspector of Schools, Paschim Medinipur within a period of four weeks from the date. In the event such application is made within the stipulated time, the respondent no.6, Chairman, District Inspector of Schools, Paschim Medinipur shall consider and dispose of the same in accordance with law, by passing a reasoned order, upon notice to the petitioner within a period of 12 weeks from the date of submission of such representation, subject to production of relevant medical documents of the petitioner's wife.

7. Learned advocate for the petitioner is directed to communicate this order to respondent no.6, Chairman,

District Inspector of Schools, Paschim Medinipur, for necessary compliance.

8. With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition being WPA 1557 of 2026 stands disposed of.

9. Since no affidavits have been called for, the allegation made in the writ petition is deemed to be not admitted.

10. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.

11. All connected applications, if any, stand disposed of.

12. There shall be no order as to costs.

13. All concerned parties shall act in terms of the copy of the order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

14. Urgent Photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of all necessary legal formalities.
