The petitioner seeks his promotion from the post of Clerk to Accountant at City College, 102, Rammohan Sarani, Kolkata - 700 009.

It appears that the college sent all necessary papers relating to the promotion of the petitioner and the Director of Public Instruction, West Bengal by a letter dated February 18, 2022 asked the College to furnish certain documents and clarifications. In response thereof, the College by a letter dated June 01, 2022 furnished the necessary documents and clarifications.

Since the matter is pending before the Director of Public Instruction, I dispose of the writ petition with a direction upon the Director of Public Instruction, West Bengal to take a decision with regard to the promotion of the petitioner to the

relevant post within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

With the aforesaid direction, WPA 1288 of 2022 is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
