Apprehending arrest in connection with Asansol Cyber Crime Police Station Case No.27 of 2020 dated 15.10.2020 under Sections 379/419/420/120B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, the petitioner has filed the present application. The learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated. The allegations levelled against him are unfounded. Co-accused persons, similarly situated with the petitioner had already been enlarged on bail by the learned court below. In the said conspectus, custodial interrogation of the petitioner may not be necessary. Mr. Panda, learned advocate appearing for the State opposes the petitioner's prayer and draws our attention to the statements of the witnesses and other documents in the case diary. Heard the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties. Prima facie, there are strong incriminating materials on record against the petitioner. Considering the seriousness of the offence and the possible extent of complicity of the petitioner in

the alleged offence, we are not inclined to exercise any discretion in his favour, more so when, the investigation is still continuing. As such, his prayer for anticipatory bail is refused. The application for anticipatory bail, being CRM (A) 387 of 2022 is, thus, dismissed.
