Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the seizure list witnesses have turned hostile and liberty was granted to the petitioner to approach this Court after the examination of the seizure list witnesses is over. However, learned advocate appearing for the State submits that all the witnesses have been examined and only the second investigating officer is left to be examined. Having regard to the fact that the case is at the final stage and the merits of the case is to be assessed by the learned Trial Court in respect of alleged offence where there was recovery of 588 grams of heroin, I am of the opinion that it would not be fit and proper to release the petitioner on bail

at this final stage of the case. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

The application for bail, being CRM (NDPS) 158 of 2026, is, thus, dismissed.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
