The petitioner seeks a mandamus on the respondents to release the vehicle which was seized from the petitioner on 26th November, 2022.

The relief sought for read together with the representation made by the petitioner to the Bank on 3rd January, 2023 shows that the impugned action is the result of private contract between the petitioner and the Bank. In any event, the respondent Bank is a private Bank and does not come within Article 226(1) of the Constitution. The petitioner has other recourse available to him for seeking appropriate relief. The writ court is not that forum.

W.P.A.1431 of 2023 is accordingly dismissed without any order as to costs.
