Learned counsel for the WBSEDCL files written instructions dated April 3, 2023 issued by the D.E. & Station Manager, Bidhannagar CCC-I, WBSEDCL indicating that the commercial connection held in the name of Saishikha Charitable Trust can be used at the ground floor portion of the premises, where they are occupying and running a school.

It is further stated that they are not authorized to extend their connection to any other portion of the said premises.

In such view of the matter, there cannot be any further impediment to enhance the load capacity of the electricity supply given to the premises-in-question as applied for by the petitioner.

Moreover, the petitioner submits that the petitioner has already made the necessary payments.

Accordingly, WPA 1429 of 2023 is disposed of by directing the WBSEDCL to increase the load of electricity supply in terms of the written instructions dated April 3, 2023, mentioned above, as early as possible, preferably within a week from date.

In the event such load has already been increased, the same shall be treated to be in accordance with law by the WBSEDCL and the petitioner shall be permitted to carry on using such connection subject to payment of regular electricity charges.

The instruction filed in court today be kept on record.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
