1. The petitioner is the holder of a permanent stage carriage permit bearing no. 07/25-26 from the authorities on 24.7.2025 for plying the vehicle bearing No. WB 29A/3382 on the route Bitra to Memari via Bulbulitala, Debipur Station (Local) three up and three down trips which remain valid till 23.7.2030.

2. Main grievance of the petitioner pertains to illegal resistance by the respondent no. 7 for not allowing the petitioner for plying his vehicle in the route in question.

3. The petitioner already lodged a complaint before the police authorities for rendering necessary assistance securing the plying of the vehicle under the permit and to initiate action against the respondent no. 7.

4. The State respondents files a report of Officerin-charge, Memeri Police Station dated

27.1.2026. The relevant portion of the report is reproduced below:

" But on 23.06.2026 the petitioner Shistidhar Ghosh came to Memari PS and submitted a written representation (Annexure-II) in which he stated that his said Bus having Reg No. WB29A3382 has plying smoothly on it's scheduled route as per prescribed timetable since dated 21.1.2026 after kind intervention of Memari Police Station. At present no issue of obstruction of vehicle is facing to the petitioner. This Refers Memari P.S.

GDE. No. 1473 dated 23.1.2026."

5. The report dated 27.1.2026 is kept with the records.

Having heard the parties and upon considering the available records, I am of the considered view that upon perusal of the report filed by the Officer-in-charge, Memari Police Station dated 27.1.2026, it transpires that the grievance of the petitioner has already been redressed and he has been plying his vehicle smoothly on the scheduled route as per the prescribed timetable after the intervention of the concerned police station.

7. The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly without taking any exception to the merits of the case.

8. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the learned counsel for the parties on usual undertakings.
