The petitioners participated in 2nd State Level Selection Test, 2025. They seek marks on account of prior teaching experience. They claim to be the teachers in the State of Bihar.

It appears that the recruitment notice clearly mentions about prior teaching experience to be awarded to candidates at the secondary level in a government or government aided or government sponsored school. In the application form, the candidate was required to mention the Teacher Code Number.

Learned advocate for the petitioners submits that the petitioners were unable to insert the Teacher Code Number as they are employed in a different State. 5.

It appears that the application for recruitment was published on 30th May, 2025 and the last date of filing the application was 21st July, 2025. The fact that the petitioners were unable to mention the Teacher Code Number implies that the cause of action for being aggrieved arose on the said date.

The instant writ petition has been filed on 22nd January, 2026 long after the West Bengal Central School Service Commission published the panel of selected candidates. At such a late point of time, the prayer of the petitioners seeking direction upon the respondents to award marks to the candidates on account of prior teaching experience, cannot be allowed. 7.

In view of the above, the writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed.

All parties shall act on the basis of a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance of necessary formalities.
