Mr. Pinaki Bhattacharyya Mr. Amartya Mohan Bhattacharyya ....for the petitioner The learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the copy of the writ petition has been forwarded to the respondents but from the track report it cannot be ascertained whether the respondents have received the same or not.

The petitioner has prayed for a direction upon the revenue authorities to dispose of the application praying for recording their names in the Record of Rights. The petitioner has alleged inaction on the part of the authorities under the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, which is a specified Act under Section 2(r) of the West Bengal Land Reforms and Tenancy Tribunal Act, 1997. Since an alternative efficacious remedy has been provided under the 1997 Act against any inaction or culpable negligence of the authorities or any applications relating to matters under any provisions of a specified act, this Court is not inclined to entertain this writ petition. Faced with such situation, the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner prays for leave to withdraw

this writ petition with liberty to approach the appropriate forum in accordance with law.

In the light of the submissions made by the learned advocates for the petitioner, WPA 1719 of 2026 stands dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to the petitioner to approach the West Bengal Land Reforms and Tenancy Tribunal for appropriate reliefs on the selfsame cause of action in accordance with law.

There will be no order as to costs.
