Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation Limited (CESC) submits that the petitioner's shop room is part of a jointly owned property comprising several shop rooms. It is further submitted that a meter board already exists, wherein a loop meter can be installed to provide an electricity connection to the petitioner's shop room.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner agrees to receive electricity through a loop meter.

In view of the above, there is no necessity to keep the present writ petition pending. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation Limited to install a loop meter and

provide electricity connection to the petitioner from the existing meter board within one month from the date of communication of this order, subject to the petitioner's compliance with all necessary formalities.

Accordingly, WPA 1602 of 2025 is disposed of. Urgent certified website copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
