Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 230 days and charge-sheet has already been submitted before the jurisdictional Court. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that there are materials which point to the involvement of the present petitioner including the statement of the one of the eye-witness under Section 164 of the Cr.P.C.

Having considered the gravity of the offence, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail.

Accordingly, CRM (M) 227 of 2026 is dismissed. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
