On behalf of Board of Trustees of Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata (respondent no.2), the learned advocate places before this Court an electronic mail dated 25th June, 2024 received by him from the Assistant Manager (Law) of the said respondent. The said electronic mail is taken on record.

On a perusal of the said electronic mail, it appears that the family pension for the month of May, 2024 along with arrears amounting to Rs.5,91,168/- has been transferred to the designated account of the writ petition on 3rd June, 2024. It also appears from the said electronic mail that the monthly pension for the month of May, 2024 is Rs.18,930/- and the arrears calculated up to 29th August, 2021, being the date of death of the employee, being the husband of

the petitioner is Rs.5,72,238/-. The petitioner acknowledges receipt of the said sum of money. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that with the receipt of the said money, nothing further subsist in this writ petition for being adjudicated, and as such, the petitioner intends not to proceed with this writ petition.

The writ petition, therefor, is disposed of recording payment of the monthly pension for the month of May, 2024 along with arrears as stated hereinabove.

The respondent no.2, however, shall continue to pay the monthly pension month by month to the writ petitioner as and when the same falls due.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
