Mr. Sanat Kr. Roy, Mr. Abhishek Banerjee ....for the petitioners The petitioners want to hold a peaceful awareness rally on the occasion of the birthday of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on January 23, 2023. They proposed to hold the rally starting from 343 T.N.

Mukherjee Road, Makhla Raghunathpur, Uttarpara (State Office ACC) and will culminate at Gulmohar Railway Institute Howrah. They propose to use loudspeakers and hold a peaceful gathering and procession.

The Chandannagar and Howrah Police Commissionerate shall allow such rally.

The petitioners shall go to the Dankuni Police Station and Uttarpara Police Station and fill up the necessary forms in course of the day.

The petitioners undertake to hold a peaceful rally and not to litter the areas. The petitioners shall clean up the place of the rally after completion. This Court has noted the observations of the Dankuni Police Station and Uttarpara Police Station

that there are a number of other rallies that are being held on the said date.

In view of the fact that the petitioners' rally is likely to be peaceful, the rally may be permitted. A minimum number of police personnel may be deployed, if at all necessary.

With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

The reports of the Dankuni Police Station and Uttarpara Police Station are taken on record. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
