The petitioner has assailed the order dated 12th November, 2024 passed by the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Malda, in GR case no. 2077 of 2023 directing issuance of warrant of arrest against him. The petitioner was initially granted bail and failed to appear before the learned Magistrate on the said date without steps for which warrant of arrest was issued against him. The petitioner undertakes to surrender before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate within a fortnight from date. If the petitioner surrenders before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate within a fortnight from date and files an application for bail, the learned Magistrate shall deal with it in accordance with law. In the event the petitioner fails to surrender before the learned Magistrate within the stipulated time frame, the learned Magistrate shall be at liberty to take necessary steps against the petitioner in accordance with law without further reference to this Court.

Warrant of arrest issued against the petitioner be stayed till 10th March, 2024.

CRR 320 of 2025 is disposed of.
