The genesis of the case related to the matrimonial dispute and discord where certain documents were claimed from the Superintendent of Police, Diamond Harbour Police District, South 24 Parganas.

Having regard to the fact that the same was in respect of the RTI application which was to be responded, I direct the petitioner that in case he has been refused by the RTI Authority being the Superintendent of Police, Diamond Harbour Police District, South 24 Parganas, he would be at liberty to approach the appellate authority for addressing his grievance. Since alternate efficacious remedy is available to the petitioner, this Court will not interfere with the prayers advanced by the writ petitioner, however, the

petitioner would, if so advised, adhere to the observations made hereinabove.

With the above observations, the instant writ petition being WPA 1627 of 2025 is disposed of. The report so submitted be kept with the record. Urgent photostat certified server copy of this order, if applied for, shall be given to the parties as expeditiously as possible on compliance of all necessary formalities.
