Mr. Amitava Mitra ...for the State The petitioner complains that the Memari Police Station has not taken appropriate steps in respect of the complaint of the petitioner as regards the death of one Kamal Hossen, husband of the petitioner.

The Memari Police Station has filed a report in the form of instructions addressed to the State Advocate dated 02.12.2022 and the same is taken on record.

An FIR was registered and a charge sheet being Memari Police Station Case No 17 of 2022 dated 28.01.2022 under Sections 498A/406/306/34 of the IPC has been filed against Abdul Kasem, Samsun Nehar Begum, Jamal Hosain and Sabnam Nehar. The other five accused persons have not been named in the charge sheet.

Let a copy of such charge sheet be made available to the counsel for the petitioner by the Memari Police Station.

The petitioner may take steps as she may be advised in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
