Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that pursuant to a work order issued in favour of the petitioner for repair of the road from Dhabani bridge to Dakshinbaid bridge, the petitioner completed the work which was endorsed in the measurement book by the Nirman Sahayak, Dahala Gram Panchayat. The tender amount was Rs.3,47,221/- out of which Rs.2,79,163/- is still due. The petitioner seeks a direction upon the concerned authority to clear such due.

It appears from the instructions submitted by the State that the Block Development Officer, Khatra Development Block by a letter issued on 21st October, 2024 requested the Pradhan, Dahala Gram Panchayat to release payment to the petitioner as per financial norms and Gram Panchayat Accounts, Audit and Budget Rules, 2007. In view of the above, the Pradhan, Dahala Gram Panchayat, being the 5th respondent herein, is directed to comply with the request of the BDO made before him by

letter dated 21st October, 2024 within four weeks from the date of communication of this order.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
