This special leave to appeal under Section 378(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure is filed assailing the judgment and order of acquittal dated 16th October, 2023 passed by the learned Judge, Special (CBI) Court, Asansol, Paschim Bardhaman, in connection with Special Case No.05 of 2011 under Sections 7/13(2)/13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 whereby the learned Judge found the accused not guilty and acquitted under Section 248(1) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

Having heard the learned advocate on behalf of the appellant/ CBI on the ground of appeal and also having gone through the judgment impugned, I allow the instant application for special leave to appeal.

The appellant is at liberty to prefer an appeal within the statutory period.

With the aforesaid observation, CRMSPL 4 of 2024 stands disposed of.
