The petitioner claims ownership of the plot No. 610, J.L. No. 92, Khatian No. 1, under Mouza Dakshin Durgapur, Uluberia, Howrah. The petitioner submits that he is a Raiyat of the said land by virtue of a patta granted by the State.

It is alleged that respondent no. 7 has undertaken construction of a building on the said land without obtaining permission from the concerned Panchayat denying the ownership of the petitioner. The petitioner has made a representation before the Radhapur Gram Panchayat on December 1, 2024, which appears at page 16 of the writ petition.

It is submitted that despite such representation, no steps have been taken by the said Gram Panchayat. In view of the aforesaid, this writ petition is disposed of

with a direction upon the Radhapur Gram Panchayat, respondent no. 4, to take necessary steps in accordance with Section 23(5) of the West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973, following the petitioner's representation, within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order. Accordingly, WPA 1707 of 2025 stands disposed of. Urgent certified website copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
