For the Petitioners Mr. Ansar Mondal Ms. Srilekha Bhattacharyya ....For the State The grievance of the petitioners is directed against non-payment of compensation in respect of the acquisition proceedings of the subject premises. The petitioners also submit that notwithstanding an assurance for a permanent job to the petitioner No. 2 no job has been given to the said petitioner. Mr. Mondal appears on behalf of the State respondents and submits upon instructions that a purchase process has been initiated on behalf of the respondent authorities for direct purchase of the petitioners' land and the same would be completed within a reasonable period of time.

In view of the submissions made by Mr. Mondal that the land of the petitioners is being purchased directly by the State respondents, no purpose will be served by keeping the instant writ petition alive.

Accordingly, W.P.A. 1783 of 2021 is disposed by directing the State authorities to complete the direct purchase of the petitioners' land within a period of three months from date. The State respondents are also directed to consider the question of employment of the petitioner No. 2 for a permanent job.

With the aforesaid directions, W.P.A. 1783 is disposed of.

However, there shall be no order as to costs. Photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
