CRAN 2 of 2023 is filed jointly by the parties herein. It is stated that there is compounding of offence under Section 147 of the Negotiable Instrument Act. The appellant, Aniruddha Sengupta received Rs.7,00,000/- (Seven Lakh only) from the respondent nos. 1 and 2. A memo of understanding was signed on 09.01.2023, copy of which is annexed.

In view of compounding of matter the respondent nos. 1 and 2 are exonerated from all the charges leveled against them under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instrument Act in terms of the prayer of CRAN 2 of 2023.

Accordingly, the instant appeal stands disposed of along with CRAN 2 of 2023.
