The said order is quoted below:

"It appears that the petitioner is a member of a co-operative society, namely Srijani Co-operative Housing Society Limited, and has been allotted a flat located on the first floor of Block 4, Flat No. 1A.

It is the grievance of the petitioner that his application for a permanent electricity connection to his flat has been rejected.

Mr. Debottam Das, learned advocate appearing on behalf of respondent no. 6, who is the Secretary of the society, submits that the petitioner has not paid the construction cost and other dues payable to the society.

He further submits that, upon full payment of the outstanding dues by the petitioner, the requisite deed of transfer shall be executed in favour of the petitioner. Thereafter, the society will initiate the necessary steps to facilitate the

electricity connection for the petitioner as well as for other eligible members.

In view of the above, let this matter be included in the Combined Monthly List of July 2025 under the heading "Motion,"

when the parties shall apprise this Court of the latest developments in the matter."

Today, learned counsel appearing for WBSEDCL submits that the petitioner is required to install a three-phase main switch at the site for the common service connection.

Learned counsel representing the Society submits that the installation of the said switches shall be completed by 2 p.m. today.

It has also been submitted by the Society that the petitioner has not fully paid his contribution for the flat in question.

Accordingly, it is directed that immediately after the installation of the switches, the Society shall notify WBSEDCL regarding the same. Upon receiving the communication, WBSEDCL shall effect the main service connection without delay.

As for the connection to the petitioner's flat, once the main service line connection is established, the petitioner shall submit an online application. Upon receipt of such an online application, WBSEDCL shall provide the connection to the petitioner within 48 hours.

It is made clear that WBSEDCL shall not require the petitioner to produce the title deed for the flat in question.

It is further clarified that the petitioner has already deposited a sum of Rs. 2,251/- with WBSEDCL for his connection, and he shall not be required to make any further payment for the connection.

The Society will be at liberty to steps if the petitioner does not pay his dues to the Society. Accordingly, WPA 1685 of 2025 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
