Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is similarly situated as the other accused persons who have been granted bail.

Learned advocate appearing for the State accepts such contention of the petitioner and submits that may be other accused persons who have been granted bail are similarly situated, but on the other hand submits that petitioner was absconding for a considerable period of time which contributed to the delay. 11 witnesses have been examined and four more witnesses have been proposed to be examined.

Having considered the advanced stage of the case, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

Report submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be kept with the record.

The application for bail, being CRM (M) 220 of 2026, is, thus, dismissed.
