Apprehending arrest in connection with M/L Case No. 08/2019 under Sections 3 & 4 of PML Act, 2002 as also ECIR No. KL20/04/2014 dated 29.03.2014 (FIR being No. 86/2019 dated 19.06.2019), the present application has been preferred.

The learned advocate for the petitioner is present. The learned advocate for the Enforcement Directorate is also present.

We have heard both the parties and on perusal of the materials, we find that for the sake of investigation, the present petitioner's custodial detention is not required. Accordingly, we allow the application for anticipatory bail and direct that in the event of arrest, the petitioner, namely, Dr. Inder Singh Kothari shall be released on bail

upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten thousand only), with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer and subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973. However, having regard to the fact that the petitioner is evading for a considerable period of time, we limit the prayer for anticipatory bail for a period of four weeks from date.

The petitioner within the aforesaid period would appear before the jurisdictional court and pray for regular bail.

The petitioner shall co-operate with the Investigating Officer and make himself available as and when called for. With the aforesaid observations, the application for anticipatory bail, being CRM 707 of 2021 is disposed of.
