Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that a settlement was arrived at with the CESC Ltd. by way of a sum assessed at Rs.1,21,306/-. The learned Counsel submits that the aforesaid settled amount has already been paid.

Ms. Sreyashee Biswas, learned Counsel appears for the CESC Ltd.

In view of such settlement and the original bills produced before this Court, we direct the learned Special Court to assess the genuineness of the said documents and on a proper assessment of the same, the learned Special Court would thereafter release the petitioner on bail, in case the petitioner is ready to furnish a bond of Rs.5,000/- with two sureties of like amount each. As such, the relief claimed in the application for anticipatory bail is allowed.

Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail, being CRM 711 of 2021, is allowed and disposed of.
