Learned advocate for the petitioner expresses his anxiety regarding the continuance of the proceedings under Section 12 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005. According to the learned advocate, the proceedings are continuing since 2017.

Records reflect that P.Ws. are complete and date has been fixed for examination of the witnesses of the opposite parties. The next date as is revealed from the record is on 20th March, 2023. Having considered the time period which has lapsed in the meantime, I direct the learned trial court being learned ACJM, Alipore, South 24-Parganas to conclude the case being AC-227 of 2017 by 31st December, 2023.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 217 of 2023 is disposed of.
