Apprehending arrest in connection with Jalangi Police Station Case No. 412 of 2020 dated November 26, 2020 punishable under Sections 325/448/379/506/354/307/34 of the Indian Penal Code, the present application has been filed.

Mr. Ghosh, learned advocate appearing for the State produces the case diary and we find from the injury report that the injuries are simple in nature and having regard to the same, we are of the opinion that custodial

interrogation of the petitioner may not be warranted in the facts and circumstances of the case.

As such, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is allowed.

Accordingly, we allow the application for anticipatory bail and direct that in the event of arrest, the petitioner, namely, Babar Ali Mondal shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten thousand only) with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer and subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973. The petitioner shall meet with the Officer-in-charge, Jalangi Police Station once a week until further orders. The application for anticipatory bail, being CRM 720 of 2021 is, thus, disposed of.
