The writ petitioner complains of alleged inaction by the Chinsurah Police Station in respect of FIR No. 429 of 2021 dated 10.10.2021.

Counsel for the State submits that Charge Sheet No. 501 of 2021 dated 30.12.2021 under sections 498A/406/506 of the IPC has been submitted.

The writ petitioner complains that after filing of the writ petition, further incidents of assault and intimidation have occurred.

Chinsurah Police Station shall investigate into such complaint and take appropriate steps in accordance with law. Chinsurah Police Station shall also post a constable outside the petitioner's residence for a period of ten days from date.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
