1. When this matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned advocate for the petitioners draws the attention of the Court to order dated February 19, 2024. After going through the said order, this Court finds that the coordinate Bench, after hearing the learned advocates of the respective parties and after considering the facts and circumstances, found that the stand of the respondent authorities as regards the applicability of the bona fide claim of the petitioners is still not decided, directed the Secretary, Ministry of Shipping (Ports Wing), Government of India in consultation with the Secretary, Ministry of Finance, who would also be incharge of the Department of Expenditure of the said Government and to dispose of the comprehensive representation so submitted by the writ petitioners after giving an adequate opportunity of hearing to the writ petitioners and also to any other person, as the hearing authority shall find fit and proper and to pass a

reasoned order within the time limit indicated in the said order.

2. The learned advocate appearing for the writ petitioners submits that pursuant to the said order, a comprehensive representation has already been submitted by the writ petitioners before the concerned authority on March 12, 2024. Learned advocate appearing for the writ petitioners submits that till date, no hearing has been afforded to the writ petitioners pursuant to the said order.

3. After hearing the learned advocates for the parties, this Court feels that nothing survives to be decided in this writ petition. Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of by extending the time to complete the entire exercise as directed by order dated February 19, 2024 by six weeks from the date of receipt of a server copy of this order.

4. The petitioners are directed to communicate this order to the concerned authority. Application, if any, pending, stands disposed of accordingly.

5. There shall be, however, no order as to costs.

6. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties expeditiously upon compliance of all legal formalities.
