06-04-2026 (ct. no.34) Sathi Saha (P.A.)
IN THE HIGH COURT AT CALCUTTA
Criminal Appellate Jurisdiction Appellate Side CRA 14 of 2004 Ranjit Saha & Anr.
Vs.
The State of West Bengal Mr. Bidyut Baran Biswas, Adv., ... For the Petitioners.
1. This matter has come at the instance of the department as an inadvertent error was crept into the 2ndline of the 3rd paragraph of the order sheet dated 18.02.2026.The case number which was corrected from the previous order, dated 04.02.2026 has been wrongly mentioned as "CRR 14 of 2023" instead of "CRA 14 of 2023".
2. On perusal of the order dated 18.02.2026 it appears that in paragraph 3 it was mentioned.
Paragraph 3 The case number in the order sheet should be "CRA 14 of 2004" in place of CRR 14 of 2023".
3. The said order was passed for correction of the order dated February 4, 2026.In the order dated February 4, 2026, it is seen that the number of the criminal appeal was put as "CRA 14 of 2023" which ought to have been "CRA 14 of 2004".
4. While correcting such order on 18.02.2026 again the number was wrongly mentioned in paragraph 3 for correction as "CRR 14 of 2023" in place of "CRA 14 of 2023".
5. Therefore in order to avoid all confusion it is further corrected as follows, that in the order dated Feb 4, 2026 the
case number in the order sheet mentioned as "CRA 14 of 2023" which should be "CRA 14 of 2004".
5. Let this corrections be made a part of the judgement delivered on 4th February, 2026 and the order dated 18th February, 2026. The rest or the order passed on February 4, 2026 and 18.02.2026 shall remain unaltered.
