It is pointed out by the learned counsel for the petitioners that the Additional District Magistrate(Development), Paschim Medinipur had sent the communication dated 5th March, 2020 to the Executive Officer, Midnapur Kharagpur Development Authority giving the details of as many as ten schemes and the recommended amount but thereafter no action has been taken. He has also pointed out that the subsequently corrigendum was sent on 23.03.2020. But after that the matter is lying without any progress. Learned counsel for the State has fairly submitted that if a direction is issued, then the District Magistrate,
respondent no. 3 will duly look into the matter and take an appropriate steps to ensure implementation of the works within a time bound period.
Hence, we dispose of the present writ petition with a direction to the respondent no. 3 to duly examine the progress in the matter in pursuance to the communication dated 05.03.2020 and 23.03.2020 sent by the Additional District Magistrate (Development) to the Executive Officer, Midnapur Kharagpur Development Authority. He is directed to look into the issue and to ensure that the schemes mentioned in the aforesaid communications are duly implemented. In case, there is any legal impediment in implementation of the scheme, then he will pass a reasoned speaking order and will duly communicate the same to the petitioners within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
