The petitioner accepted the rejection but before that on the expectation that he would be granted the conversion, he deposited the government's contribution of Rs. 4,71,157/- in the Treasury.

The petitioner has accepted this letter of the District Inspector of Schools dated 10.07.2018 and as he would be a person under the Contributory Provident Fund and not a General Provident Fund holder, his prayer is for refund of this amount of Rs. 4,71,157/-. This amount was deposited by the petitioner on 5th April, 2017. But till date this has not been refunded. The District Inspector of Schools is directed to take all steps to refund the said amount of Rs. 4,71,157/- within a period of 30 days from date.

The Director of School Education will bring this to the notice of the Commissioner of School Education and the amount is to be refunded by 30 days from date with interest at the rate of 7% from the date it was deposited till the date of refund.

With the observation and direction above, the writ petition is disposed of.
