Banerjee Ms. Indrani Nandi ... for private respondents Mr. Supriya Majumder ... for the State It is the allegation of the petitioner that respondent no.2 is illegally running the medical shop "New Maa Malati Medical Store" without having any valid licence. In this regard she had made a representation dated 22.12.2023 before respondent no. 5, i.e. the Assistant Director of Drug Controller, Government of West Bengal, however, till date no action has been taken on it. The petitioner has preferred the present writ petition being aggrieved by the said inaction of the respondent no. 5. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that they have no objection in deciding the said representation dated 22.12.2023 in a time bound manner preferably within a period of four weeks by giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as the respondents and pass a speaking order thereafter.

In view thereof, the present writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the respondents to decide the representation of the petitioner within the time specified above. The outcome of the said decision shall be intimated to the petitioner. Needless

to state that the petitioner shall be at liberty to challenge the same in accordance with law.
