Learned counsel appearing for the State respondents clarifies that this should actually mean the work order.

The only prayer of the petitioner is for a direction on the Dispute Redressal Committee to take a decision on the representation made by the petitioner against such termination. The records show that the last meeting of the DRC was held on 29th September, 2021. The eleven members of the DRC were present in the said meeting and the meeting has been signed by the Additional Secretary to the Government of West Bengal, Panchayats and Rural Development Department. The records also show that the petitioner's request was rejected in the second DRC meeting held on 28th August, 2019. However, the third DRC meeting sat

after that and held its meeting on the date mentioned above.

Upon hearing learned counsel, WPA 1653 of 2023 is disposed of with the direction on the respondent No. 4 being the Executive Engineer, Department of Panchayat and Rural Development to ensure that the DRC concludes the pending proceedings and passes a reasoned decision within a period of eight weeks from date. A copy of the reasoned decision shall be made available to the petitioner within a week from the date on which such decision is taken.
