The petitioner is an Associate Professor at Raghunathpur College. By filing this writ petition, he makes several allegations against the Principal of the college, respondent no.4.

Mr. Subhrangsu Panda, learned advocate appearing for respondent no.3 submits that on the basis of the allegations as made in this writ petition

and also on the basis of several allegations brought to the notice of the Governing Body by some other persons, the college by a letter dated February 28, 2024 suspended the Principal/respondent no.4. A disciplinary proceeding has also been initiated against him. He further submits that a formal complaint will be lodged before the relevant police station against the Principal.

Mr. Panda has made over a copy of the suspension order dated February 28, 2024 to this Court.

Let the said letter be kept with the records. In view of the steps initiated by the college, no further order needs to be passed in this writ petition. Therefore, WPA 1547 of 2024 is disposed of with an observation that steps should be taken by the college to conclude the proceedings against respondent no.4 as early as possible in accordance with law. Needless to mention that the college shall afford the due opportunity of hearing to respondent no.4. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
