The petitioner seeks compassionate appointment. Her father was a primary school teacher who died-in-harness on November 15, 2017. The petitioner applied for compassionate appointment on April 10, 2019. Her grievance is that the said application has not been taken up for consideration till date.

As it appears that the application of the petitioner is pending consideration at the end of the District Primary School Council, Paschim Medinipur accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the Chairman, Paschim Medinipur District Primary School Council being the respondent no.4 to take a decision with regard to the application made by the petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment strictly in accordance with law

at the earliest, but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order. The said respondent shall pass a reasoned order and communicate the same to the petitioner immediately thereafter.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance of all formalities, on priority basis.
