The alleged offence is not a serious one. It arises out of demonstration made with regard to distribution of Amphan Cyclone Relief Fund. The alleged offence took place in June, 2020. Learned Counsel for the State says that investigation is in progress.

In view of omnibus statements, the allegations made against the petitioners and for the reasons stated above, we are inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

Subject to the above, in the event of arrest, the petitioners will be released on bail upon furnishing bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with 2 sureties of like amount, one of whom must be local to the satisfaction of the arresting officer. The petitioners will also comply with the conditions laid down in Section 438(2) of the Code.

With the aforesaid observation, the application for anticipatory bail, being CRM No.755 of 2021 is, thus, disposed of. All parties shall act on the server copies of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.) (Soumen Sen, J.)
