Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that the present case arising out of Chapra Police Station Case No.112 of 2010 dated 13.03.2010 is pending for about 14 years and the evidence of the case has not been concluded.

Report was called for. Mr. Anand Keshari, learned advocate appearing for the State submits a report which reflects that only examination of the investigating officer is left who could not attend for some time as he was under treatment. Let the report filed by the State be kept with the record. The next has been fixed by the learned trial court on 23rd April, 2024. Accordingly, I direct that the present officer who has submitted report before this Court would take steps for ensuring the appearance of the investigating officer of the case whose examination-in-chief would continue regularly on and from 23rd April, 2024 and the examination-in-chief and cross-examination should be completed by 26th April, 2024. Learned trial court would

thereafter proceed for taking steps for examination of the accused under Section 313 of Cr.P.C. and deliver the judgment of the case at the earliest.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 332 of 2024 is disposed of.

Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.
