The order dated 06.03.2025 reflects that none appeared on behalf of the petitioner. Today also, when the writ petition has been called, none appeared for the petitioner.

Mr. Banerjee, learned advocate appearing for the State submits the report prepared by the Officerin-Charge, Haripal Police Station which reflects that a civil suit is pending before the learned Civil Judge (Junior Division), 2nd Court, Chandannagar, Hooghly. Since the civil court is already in seisin of the issue, the prayer in the writ petition so far as it relates to restoration of possession cannot be done at the behest of the police authorities. Accordingly, I am of the view that further pendency of the writ petition is unwarranted.

Thus, WPA 1769 of 2025 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.
