On and from the next date i.e., 06.01.2024, the learned trial court would proceed to exercise harsher process of law including cancelling the bail of the accused persons, who are not cooperating with the progress of the trial of the instant case. The Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Minakhan, Basirhat Police District, North 24 Parganas will submit a report regarding the availability of all the accused persons one month prior to 06.01.2024 before the learned trial court and inform all the
accused persons connected with the case to be physically present on 06.01.2024. If the charge till date has not been framed, the trial court would frame charge and fix two dates in every week till the evidence of the prosecution is over. Thereafter, the learned trial court would conduct the examination under Section 313 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and after affording opportunity to the accused persons to tender defence witnesses, complete the trial, fix dates for final argument and pronounce the judgement. All efforts be taken so that whole of the process is completed by 31st December, 2024.
With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 233 of 2023 is disposed of.
Pending applications, if any, are consequently disposed of. All concerned parties are to act in terms of a copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this court.
