Learned advocate for the petitioner has challenged the judgement and order dated 14-12-2023 passed by the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge, 3rd court, Tamluk, Purba Medinipur. The learned Sessions Judge on an assessment of the order passed in Misc. Case No. 272 of 2022 in a proceeding under Section 125 of the Code of Criminal Procedure by the learned Judicial Magistrate, 3rd court, Tamluk reduced the quantum of maintenance from a sum of Rs.6,000/- per month to the wife and Rs.4000/- per month to the minor child to a sum of Rs.5000/- per month to the wife and a sum of Rs.3000/ per month to the minor child. The aforesaid reduction was as an interim measure during the pendency of the main proceedings of Misc. Case No. 272 of 2022. The peculiarity in this case is that the professional claim of

the husband and wife is creating a gulf of difference, while the wife claims the husband to be a civil engineer, the husband claims himself to be a mason.

Having regard to the contentions advanced and the amount so awarded by the learned sessions court in Criminal Revision No. 15 of 2023, I am of the view that the quantum so awarded do not call for any interference. Accordingly, the revisional application being CRR 327 of 2024 is disposed of.

Learned trial court is directed to expeditiously proceed with the trial of the case without granting any adjournment to any of the parties.
