Learned counsel for the petitioner in both the matters submits, in his usual fairness, that appropriate Registration Certificate has, in the meantime, been obtained by the petitioner in both the matters as the zone-in-question is a semicritical zone as demarcated by the Ground Water Resources Authorities. In such view of the matter, there cannot be any impediment for the petitioner in both the matters in getting electricity connection.

Hence, WPA No. 1707 of 2023 and WPA No. 1708 of 2023 are disposed of by granting liberty to the petitioner in both the writ petitions to

submit the Registration Certificates in connection with their applications for new electricity connection and to comply with all other due formalities in law for the purpose of getting such new electricity connection.

Upon such compliance of due formalities, including furnishing the Registration Certificates, the WBSEDCL is directed to give such electricity connection to the petitioners in both the writ petitions within a fortnight from date.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
