The land of the petitioner has been acquired in L.A. Case No. NH-01 of 2016-17 and award of compensation has already been published.

The petitioner complains that till date the payment has not been disbursed.

W.P.A. 2005 of 2021 is disposed of by directing the Special Land Acquisition Officer, Paschim Medinipur, the respondent no. 8 herein to take immediate steps for disbursement of the compensation amount of the petitioner in terms of the award within a period of 16 weeks from the date of communication of this order.

Since no affidavit-in-opposition has been invited the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.

No order as to costs.
