Two writ petitions are taken up for consideration subsequent to the order dated July 19, 2021.

Learned advocate appearing for the writ petitioner in WPA 2008 of 2021 submits that, the writ petitioners received possession subsequent to July 19, 2021 and consequently grievance of such petitioners stands redressed. Learned advocate appearing for the writ petitioners in WPA 7412 of 2021 submits that, there are claims as against the State Government.

In the facts of the present case, since the grievances of the writ petitioners in WPA 2008 of 2021 stands redressed, such writ petition is disposed of without any order as to costs.

In WPA 7412 of 2021, the writ petitioners claim

money as against the State Government on the basis of a contract. According to the petitioners, bills raised on the State Government remains unpaid.

In such circumstances, it would be appropriate to grant an opportunity to the parties file an affidavit before the issues raised are finally decided.

Let affidavit-in-opposition be filed within four weeks from date; reply thereto, if any, be filed two weeks thereafter. The writ petition will be treated as 'ready for hearing' immediately on completion of the time period prescribed for filing affidavits. Liberty to the parties to mention for early hearing.

The writ petitioners of WPA 7412 of 2021 will serve a copy of this order upon the non-appearing respondents and file an affidavit-of-service to such effect on the next date.
