1. The petitioner alleges that he participated in the 2016 recruitment process for appointment of assistant teacher in upper primary school. He claims that as he was successful in TET 2011, he ought to have been issued appointment letter.

2. Facts remain that the petitioner was not called for interview. The panel which was published by the Commission for providing appointment to the successful candidates expired in the meantime. The fact that the petitioner was not called for interview suggests that he was an unsuccessful candidate in the recruitment process.

3. In view of the above, there is no scope to direct the authority to issue appointment letter in his favour.

4. The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed.

5. Consequently, CAN No.2 of 2024 is dismissed.

6. All parties are to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

7. Certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be made available to the parties.
