Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.

The petitioner being the widow of the retired employee of WBTCL seeks interest on arrear payment on account of pay revision. Arrears have been paid. What remains is the interest.

Let the interest be calculated on the said arrears for the period from 1st April, 1997 to 31st March, 2000 @ 7% per annum.

It is expected that the payment is made within a period of one month from date.

It is also made clear that in default of payment as indicated above, rate of interest shall be 12%. 6.

The writ petition is disposed of.
