The petitioner is the sister-in-law of the deceased victim. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is no way connected with the alleged offence and she is staying at her matrimonial house and far away from the place of occurrence and she has no involvement with the alleged offence. It is further submitted that the principal accused namely, Sukumar Pramanik was granted anticipatory bail by a coordinate Division Bench on 21st December, 2020 as also the father-in-law and mother-in-law of the victim. The learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. We find that the victim housewife committed suicide four years after marriage. Keeping in mind the extent of complicity of the petitioner in the alleged crime, we are inclined in granting anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, we direct that in the event of arrest the petitioner shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.

Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure. The prayer for anticipatory bail is allowed.

CRM 775 of 2021 is, thus, disposed of.
