It appears from the said report that the petitioners have been recorded as awardees with regard to the award passed for acquisition of the plot nos. 1074 and 1208 which originally belonged to their predecessor-in-interest. Admittedly no compensation has been paid to the petitioners despite their names appearing as awardees. In view of the same, this Court is inclined to hold that the petitioners may be directed to approach the concerned authority for verification of their identity and title subject to which the authority shall disburse the amount of compensation in favour of the petitioners. Accordingly this writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to approach the respondent no. 4 for verification of their identity and title within 7 working days from date. The respondent no. 4 shall disburse the compensation to the petitioners as awarded in their favour

upon verification of their identity and title within a period of two months from the date on which the petitioners approach the respondent no. 4.

With the above observations and directions this writ petition being WPA No. 1583 of 2022 is disposed of. There shall be, however, no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to be admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties upon compliance of necessary formalities.
