Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for more than two and half months and has been arrested on the basis of the statement of the co-accused.

Learned Advocate for the State submitted a report which reflects that there is neither any CDR nor money transaction available in course of investigation. There are also no criminal antecedents of the present petitioner within the jurisdiction of Gangarampur Police Station. Let the report be kept with the record. 3.

Having considered the report submitted by the State, I am of the view that further detention of the petitioner is unwarranted.

As such, the prayer for bail is allowed.

Accordingly, the petitioner viz, Jahangir Ali @ Jahangir Hossain shall be released on bail upon furnishing bond of Rs.20,000/-, with two sureties of Rs.10,000/-, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the learned Judge, Special Court under the NDPS Act at Balurghat, Dakshin Dinajpur.

If on bail, the petitioner shall be physically present on each and every date so fixed by the learned Special Court and shall not leave the jurisdiction of the district of Dakshin Dinajpur without prior permission of the learned Special Court.

The application for bail, being CRM (NDPS) 176 of 2026 is, thus, disposed of.
