The petitioner no.1 is the brother-in-law and the petitioner no.2 is the sisterin-law of the de-facto complainant. The learned Counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are no way connected with the alleged offence and they have been falsely implicated. The learned Counsel for the State, however, opposes the prayer of the petitioners. From the records made available to us, it appears that the husband, the father-in-law and the mother-in-law of the de-facto complainant have been enlarged on bail on 6th January, 2021. Considering the materials available in the case diary and the nature and extent of complicity of the petitioners in the alleged offence, we are of the opinion that the custodial interrogation of the petitioners may not be warranted. Accordingly, we direct that in the event of arrest the petitioners shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) each, with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the

satisfaction of the arresting officer subject to the condition laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure. The petitioner no.1 shall meet the investigating officer of Dum Dum Police Station once in a two weeks. The prayer for anticipatory bail is allowed.

CRM 781 of 2021 is, thus, disposed of.
